Community Clean-up Day!

Gordon J. Lau Elementary School, SF Chinatown

We had 12 volunteers participating in "Community Clean-up Day!  Our project was to prime and paint all of the outside benches in four different school yards at Gordon J. Lau Elementary School.  We also had the opportunity to repain the lower window sills on the main yard.  The principal, Marlene Callejas, had requested this as the students were gettnig splinters from the bare wood.  Our project was completed in an atmosphere of fun and laughter.    Jim Allen, Community Services Chair
